Cork is a very compact walking city with narrow criss-crossing streets built on a series of islands. All the usual international fashion brands are to be found sitting side by side with local designers and hand made crafts.
Value for money are the watch words of the day and so you will rarely find a day when a variety of stores aren’t ‘in sale’. There is almost a sense of exploration when shopping in Cork with cobblestone lanes, Victorian Arcades and buildings full of character dating from the 19th century sitting contentedly beside bright & shiny shopping emporiums. One thing is certain though, you will always find some hidden gems.
Out in the suburbs large shopping centres are to be found such as Mahon Point, Wilton Shopping Centre, Douglas Village, Douglas Court and Blackpool Shopping Centre.
